Feltiriums
Cristina Toro Ulloa is a designer, fibres artist that lives
in Coquimbo, Chile. Feltiriums is a name of a series of dolls made with felt
needle. They were created as form of expression and each doll is unique and unrepeatable.
The technique he uses is called felt needle to create sculpture in 3D from
fleece fibres with aid of special needle. This needle has teeth that trap each
fibre in it. These dolls are ego-friendly, having no toxic substances. I
have added this to my research because I was look at ways I could make my
character simpler. You can check out this Awesome Artist on www.feltiriums.com.
To research my character I used a book called ‘Japanese
Comickers’ which has loads of different artist work and how they make their
art.
Hirofumi Fujiko
Her techniques are to use colours for the basic outline and
uses Copic Markers and watercolour pencils to add tones and details. Her style
is to be efficient and emphasize. I like
Hirofumi Fujiko simple style and soft shading.
Nanamirio
I love Nanamirio techniques in creating her artwork and that
I feel it gives life paper. The technique is uses are Copic markers and
refilling ink and her developed her own special way of using colourless
blender. Her style is simple and she tells stories within her work. Also uses
folklore to help her create interesting artwork.
Targets
My targets for this week are, to be completed for next Monday-
- Finish off my turn around and create an A3 character board.
- Start my 2D animation walk cycle.
