Introduction - About me

Hi,

My name's Liz and I'm starting this blog for the course am doing at Newcastle College. Which is an FdA in Animation and Illustration, which is keeping me pretty busy I might add.

Erm.... What can I say about myself, that's not going to bore you to sleep. Well lets start with the obvious, I like drawing, hopefully get job where I get to do just  that. I've always wanted to try my hand at animation, this course has opened that door, and hopefully I'm not half bad at it. So people that like my work can employ me...hint, hint.

I'm a big fan of Anime, Manga and all thing Japanese, and it's slowly growing into most Asian /Eastern artwork I see these days. Examples being Shigenori Soejima and Yoshitaka Amano which are very well known Japanese Artists. This course has helped me find people I had not heard about before but had seen their work without realising it, like Amy Sol, James Jean and David Choe.

Another big passion of mine is reading, I love reading classics from 'Pride and Prejudice' to modern fantasy such as 'The Magician's Guild'.

Then whenever I get the time, which at moment inst all that often, I'd throw a few games into the mix because.....you know....who doesn't play the odd game.

Most of old art is fanart, yeah I did my stuff that *cough* I didn't finish, yeah my bad I like leaving art unfinished. The reason very unknown to me, but probably it's because I like rough sketches work, free flowing line, messy, organic art. But anyway here some finished fanart :-
